"the rapture finally came... and barely anything changed. most countries and corporations are still going strong, and if they struggled, they were able to find replacements and return to a state of "normalcy." lucinda 'luci' bangard is a typical gloom and doomer. the emo cashier at the gas station, the argumentative twitter/tumblr user, the family member you don't mention at thanksgiving when you realize she skipped out. again. but rory? she wasn't just the star child. nor was she just the gifted university student that her parents could brag about later on. she had things going for her. and now? she's dead. and luci's f**king pissed."
hellraiser is an imaginary game idea i though of, following luci (the representation of sloth) travelling post-rapture earth, the depths of hell, and heaven itself to reunite with her sister. battle the demon lords of hell, the overseers of the heavenly circles, and your own insecurities as you fight for the one thing that believed in you.
HELLRAISER is inspired by primarily THE DIVINE COMEDY, but takes elements from.. essentially any other media that is inspired by dante's vision of heaven and hell. namely ULTRAKILL and HAZBIN HOTEL, but as i develop it further, i plan on taking elements from other media as well. trust me. please.
i want there to be human manifestations of vices that luci meets on earth (the sins but i saying vices n virtues is cooler) but also i want luci to meet the demonic manifestations as well...
thinking. i plan to have luci commit suicide and immediately plummet herself into the seventh circle, (people who commit suicide go to the SEVENTH CIRCLE OF HELL IN DANTE'S INFERNO), and also after the rapture occurs, earth and limbo essentially Combine, so maybe the demonic manifestations are better able to reach earth ? and possess the people that luci meets ?? if that's the case, these would probably be the sins that luci comes across before reaching the 7th circle: lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, and heresy. then she'd have to fight her way through the 7th thru 9th until she finds someone who can help her reach heaven, which i imagine would be an angel guarding over the Real Actual lucifer, trapped in the ice, and threatens, convinces, seduces them into helping her. whichever route taken would depend on luci's skills, which are essentially... scales? not like weight scales, but depending on your interactions as lucinda as you play, you can use skill points to favor certain virtues or vices over their opposite, and those change your chances of doing specific sinful or gracious things. for example, a player with chastity will have trouble doing lustful things. a player with high gluttony will have trouble practicing temperance. yada yada old habits die hard bullshit, yk?
"every friday, after school, vivienne "vivi" dane and her classmates walk over to the corso home to play some fothermucking dnd with their dungeon master, lukas corso.
vivi likes lukas. like... really likes lukas. but he's her dungeon master, and also he's graduated highschool already, so he's off limits. also, his little sister logan hates her guts. and vivi hates hers as well!! in this (imaginary) comic, follow the life of vivi's adventuring party, and logan's childhood trio, as they try and make it through life without discussing the numerous elephants in the (class)room."
VATR is.. embarassingly.. based loosely off of real life. if you couldn't tell by the fact the main character is named vivi. (vivienne? vien? very smart.) after A Recent Incident, i've discovered that writing a letter to a random girl alone isn't enough for me, so for the time being, i may also start talking about these fucking freaks. every character will have their roots in a real life person, but for privacy reasons, no real names will be used. and also i'll try to make the appearances different enough as well. also these events are fictional as well. EVERYTHING IS FICTIONALL I'M NOT IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE'S ADULT BROTHER. also no there won't be any weird stuff going on w/ viv and lukas. trust me. i'm asking you guys to trust me alot but i swear shit won't be weird.
it's actually funny because, the girl logan is inspired by mainly had asked me, when we were making characters together, if we could have a fake rivalry. so like, our personas had Vague Beef, but in reality, i barely knew the girl. but then we got to know each other. and actually didn't fuck with each other, and then yada yada shit happened yada yada now i cope through fiction. but yeah! more on them later. maybe. i dunno.
what if vampire knight was cooler? and didn't have incest? that's basically what vdemo is: a reimagining of the story of yuki and zero and all those other freaks, but to fit my own damn tastes. because i'm feeling self-indulgent. in this world, modern vampires typically live in rural societies away from humans to avoid the stigma that came from their previous social standing as the biggest threat towards humans. after vampire hunters rose in numbers, the vampire populations were decimated so a small fraction of the original population remains. if these vampires find themselves in human society, however, they become a "protected race." of course, it's easier to say that said protected class is simply a human with a "heavily altered circadian rhythm," than a carnivore that both looks like a human, walks like a human, and talks like a human to the average commoner. in the workforce? this simply becomes forms into more remote jobs, graveyard shifts, and 24-hour stores growing common. in the schools, however..? (also yes vampires aren't just bloodsuckers here sorryyy!!)
to prevent students from falling behind in class due to struggles with sleep scheduling, night classes have been created to allow students with different circadian rhythms to still participate in regular school activities, but simply... at night! at least, that's the cover story for most boarding schools. in truth, if a school has enough vampires attending, and enough funding for accomodations, they'll be swapped to night classes in seperate dorms (for safety reasons) to live out their school life as normal as they can. but who keeps things in check to make sure vampires and humans don't sneak off and get up to ""shenanigans??"" the student council, of course! more on them later it's getting late.
